This seven layer reduction linocut print shows a densely shaded patch of woodland in the Yorkshire Sculpture Park, spotted with clumps of bluebells. Patches of sunlight break through in the distance.
The reduction method of printmaking uses just one plate, which is further cut away after each layer is printed, so there is no going back and the print cannot be repeated. There are just 13 prints in this edition. As each layer is handprinted, there are variations between each print and no two are absolutely identical.
This print is supplied UNFRAMED AND UNMOUNTED. Please note that as this is a larger format than usual your print will be delivered to you carefully rolled in a sturdy tube.
