This nine layer reduction linocut print shows an old and twisted oak tree covered in dense foliage in the height of summer. It is the same tree that is depicted in 'November Oak', but has been created with nearly twice as many layers because of the complexity of the colours.
The reduction method of printmaking uses just one plate, which is further cut away after each layer is printed, so there is no going back and the print cannot be repeated. There are just 10 prints in this edition. As each layer is handprinted, there are minor variations between each print and no two are absolutely identical. There may be small differences from the images shown. This print is supplied UNFRAMED AND UNMOUNTED.
