A note about the title: this walk through the woods was at the end of March 2021 when, after a long winter, the first green leaves were appearing on the trees. Here in England we were anticipating the first stage of coming out of lockdown, and I had just had my first vaccination. It felt that in many ways we were finally 'Halfway There'.

This hand burnished reduction linoprint has been built up from many layers of inks in shades of grey and green, to produce a rich image of the deep shade of a woodland path. See the last image to see how complex this print is. It is printed on delicate Japanese Tosa Shi paper.

A reduction linoprint is made with one plate which is progressively carved away with each layer. This means there is no going back and the image cannot be repeated.

Each print is a unique handmade item and will vary slightly with ink density and printing pressure.

This print is supplied UNFRAMED AND UNMOUNTED.

The title, artist's signature, edition number and date are written in pencil under the image.
