Image size without border 20 x 19 cm Paper size 30 x 30 cm
This print was produced during my 2016 Artist Residency at the Yorkshire Museum of Farming and depicts one of the handsome cockerels who live there. You can see in the last image the plate being inked for the first pass through the press in the little pop up studio at the museum.
This print is a reduction linocut. This means that only one plate is used, with more of the plate being cut away with each colour. The plate cannot therefore be used again and the prints produced are automatically a limited edition, in this case of only five prints.
Each print is a unique handmade item and will vary with ink density and printing pressure. Yours might not be identical to the images here.
It has been hand printed using oil based inks on quality Fabriano Accademia paper.
This print is supplied UNFRAMED AND UNMOUNTED.
The title, artist's signature, edition number and date are written in pencil under the image.
