This image shows the view out towards Lindisfarne Castle, off the north east coast of England. Lindisfarne, also known as Holy Island, is accessible only at certain times of the day when the tide is out. The safe path across the mudflats is shown by the distinctive way marker poles in the foreground.
This print is a reduction linocut. This means that only one plate is used, with more of the plate being cut away with each colour. The plate cannot therefore be used again and the prints produced are automatically a limited edition.
This hand pulled print is number three in an edition of just twelve prints. The print you will receive is the one shown in the first image. The other images may show other prints in the edition.
It has been hand printed using oil based inks on quality 210gsm Zerkall printmaking paper.
