Manzac d'en Bas

This idyllic, peaceful location in South West France commands stunning views of the Pyrenees.  Owned and run by British couple Giles and Louise Nevill, Manzac d'en Bas has rapidly gained a reputation for superb customer care and warm hospitality.  Click here to read some excellent independent customer reviews.

The venue is easily accessible from both Toulouse and Carcassonne airports which are well served by flights from a number of UK airports.  Transfers from either airport are included in the holiday cost.

En-suite rooms in luxury gîtes make this a thoroughly comfortable art break.  All meals (apart from two evenings when we will visit local restaurants) are included as well as wine, beer, tea, coffee and soft drinks so you don't have to do a thing apart from relax and paint.  Even the swimming towels are provided so you can cool off in the inviting salt water pool.

The workshop

During the week we will have sessions both indoors and out and will include still life and portrait work as well, of course, as making the most of the stunning scenery and local views.

Always the emphasis will be on fresh, vibrant watercolour.  Both beginners and those with more experience are welcome.  The group will be kept small so individual attention from your tutor, Jane Duke,  is assured and tuition will be tailored to suit the needs of the students.

ALL MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT ARE PROVIDED.  You don't have to bring anything!  At the start of the holiday you will receive your own FREE set of paints and paper worth over £80.  All other materials and equipment including brushes, palettes, boards etc will be supplied.

One day in the week will be free for you to explore the local area, relax by the pool or of course continue painting if you wish.

The total cost is around £760 GBP (or $1100 USD) depending on current exchange rate.

Booking deposit to Manzac d'en Bas, 25% of the accommodation fee (non-returnable).  The balance is due 8 weeks before the start of the holiday (or immediately if booking is made after 30 April).  Payment can be made by credit card (1.5% surcharge), bank transfer or euro cheque.

The full tuition fee of £250 is payable to Stoneflower Studio at least 8 weeks before the start of the holiday (or immediately if booking is made after 30 April).  Payment can be made by sterling cheque, bank transfer or via PayPal.
