a collagraph print of a stepped path through bluebell woods
Number 2 of a limited edition of 25
Image size 23 x 29 cm Paper size 31 x 39 cm
Printed with oil based inks on Zerkall 210gsm printmaking paper
This handpulled collagraph print is based on the path through the woods of the Yorkshire Sculpture Park which includes the 'Seventy-one Steps' installation by David Nash. A textured collagraph plate was made which is then inked up with all the colours in the print at once before being passed by hand through an etching press. This method of ink application and blending creates a painterly effect and it means that no two prints are exactly the same. This impression is the second of a limited edition of twenty five.
The edition number, title, artist signature and date are written under the image in pencil.
The print is presented unframed for safe shipping.
